Democrats Continue To Offer Nothing

Am I the only one that is sick and tired of hearing these lame liberals and turn coat Republicans whining, " We should have never gone into Iraq?" This has become so trite. Hilary is leading the charge as she becomes the persona of the lead 'flip-flopper" himself, John Kerry.

I must say that there is a God in Heaven that will keep us from enduring another presidential campaign that includes John Kerry. Was there ever really any doubt that he wouldn't run again, after he put his foot in his mouth with that remark about people choosing to join the military? If he didn't know, he should have soberly realized that he had a snow balls chance in hell of being elected president. Never mind being elected president while the U.S. is in a state of war.

President Bush has challenged the Democrats to counter his plan for winning in Iraq with a plan of their own. No one has stepped up to the plate with an original idea. Hilary hasn't a clue. She has been throwing around the words redeploy, and cap. What the hell does that mean? Redeploy equals retreat and cap equals quit.  Let's not forget  Mr. Webb's soliloquy about his family's military history. God bless those that served. It doesn't justify losing this war. Again, he said he welcomes dialogue with the President. What would they talk about? Once again, another Democrat with a lot of nothing to offer. If Mr. Webb has anything to offer, it should first be an apology for his outright disrespectful interactions with President Bush. He is the Commander-in-Chief,  while, Jim is just a freshman getting his foot in the door. Doesn't say very much for him.

President Bush couldn't have stated the urgency of America winning this war in  Iraq better. There will be consequences. It is incredulous that  the entire Democratic Party fails to foresee what the stakes are in Iraq. We must win against the insurgency. We are fighting a war unlike any wars past. Here lies the issue. I don't think that liberals got 9/11.  The fact that it has been nearly six years since the attack adds to this.  It is too bad that the fire in the belly that Americans had on that day has fizzled out. Unfortunately, these terrorists have the same burning desire to kill all of us.

Iran is watching what the U.S. does closely in Iraq. They are watching the Democrats and their lack of will to fight. They have already predicted that the U.S. will bail likened to the Vietnam War. The terrorists are hoping for a Democrat to win the presidency in 2008. They are laughing at the division in this country. Imagine what message would be sent to the radical fanatics if both parties decided to put their heads together to win against them.

Many have said it. We are way past the issue of agreeing or disagreeing whether or not we should be involved in Iraq. I have come to realize that liberals do things with emotion. Conservatives tend to use fact and tangibles when approaching a situation. In dealing with the War on Terror, I feel more comfortable with someone who will see things as they are like President Bush does. He sees an entirely different world than the Democrats see. It isn't through rose colored glasses. The President sees a group of fanatics that are hell bent on killing as many Americans as they can. They want to do it here if possible, in our cities.  They want to see the absolute destruction of America.

Maybe I have it all wrong. Perhaps we should try it Hilary's or Nancy Pelosi's way. Let's bake up a few batches of homemade cookies and some fresh lemonade. Get out  the best China and the welcome banners. Nancy can bring out the grandchildren. Don't forget that big white flag. Sad, that they will be met by people with black masks, a few assault weapons, perhaps a suitcase nuke. They will greet them with a how do you do "suckers?" Then actually die with astonished looks on their faces. Even more ironic, it could be members of the insurgency from Iraq the Dems thought they were redeploying from.

Celebrate Life

Many churches and organizations will be celebrating life and denouncing abortion in all of its form in today's USA Today. President Bush hailed a group of pro-life demonstrators and told them that there has to be more than legislative victories established in the fight for life. There has to be changes in the hearts of people.

I think that Mr. Bush was dead on with that statement. So many people are hardhearted in regard to the abortion issues. So many can't see beyond the argument of when life begins. Then there is a woman's right to control her own body.  It is the same old arguments and in most cases you are either on one side of the issue or the other and I have never been ever to change a pro-choice supporters stance on the issue until a few days ago.

I was listening to Christian radio in my area and the issue about abortion came up. The topic of discussion was a group of priests that have taken on the cause for changing peoples minds about abortion and I was completely fascinated by this. These priests developed a web site on which featured photographs of aborted fetuses at various stages of development, including the abominable partial birth abortion. It is a horrific site to behold. I could not get these pictures out of my mind for most  of the day.

The priests invite everyone who believes that he/she is a supporter of abortion, to take a visit to the web site and view each and everyone of the pictures that are on the site. If a person has a pulse and any feeling at all, he would have to take pause and be sobered by what he sees. The web site is http://www.priestsforlife.org  Whether you think you are certain in your convictions about being pro-choice or not, I invite you to take a look at this web page.

Regarding the lady I met recently, we had a lively debate about abortion at an Arabica Coffee House. The discussion had all of the same elements they always contain. She threw the scientific determinations about when life actually begins at me and I rebutted. Fortunately, I had my laptop on hand. I thought of the Priests for Life site. I asked the woman if she would be willing to look at the page. I informed her of the contents and she agreed to look. I took her to the page. I have to admit that I was astonished at the reaction that she had. Her face became flush and she couldn't speak. She told me she had to go and that she didn't have to time to debate the issue any further. To my chagrin, thirty minutes later, she returned to the coffee house and came to my table and just sat down.

I could never had prepared for what was going to happen at that moment. The lady told me that she had left and spent the last half hour sick in the bathroom.  She confided to me that she had had an abortion six months prior. I was feeling so many emotions at that moment. I was flabbergasted. I felt empathy. I also felt alarm because I didn't know anything about this woman and she didn't know anything about me. We were just two people that ended up talking in a coffee shop. Yet, there I was, listening to her confess a personal choice she had made to me.

The lady and I spent a couple of hours talking at that Arabica and it was a time I won't soon forget. She assured me that she was going to promote the Priest for Life internet page to others. I am not deluded into believing that the page will touch everyone in such a dramatic sense. My hope is that it would dispel the widespread indifference that exists regarding abortion. If more people would stop viewing abortion as a method of contraception. The priests would have accomplished something wonderful for life.

U.S. Credibility On The Line

Well, looks like President Bush has spoken tonight. I don't think that he could have been clearer in sending messages to Americans and the world, that we are a long way from an end to war. According to the contents of the president's speech, we should all be bracing for a wider war. Perhaps a regional conflict in the Middle East.

All along, the Iranians and Syrians have been waging a proxy war with the United States in Iraq. They are sending terrorists into Iraq to confront our soldiers and we are left to play the defensive. No one wants to admit that to be successful in Iraq, we will have to confront Iran. We have to get at the source of these insurgencies. We could be in Iraq forever waiting at the border for these jihad extremist to come and shoot at the soldiers.

Then there is Iran's defiance to cease and desist with its nuclear program. Israel has already stated that they will not tolerate a nuclear Iran. President Bush has said as much before. So where does this leave us? I smell escalation in the air beyond what most Americans dare to phantom. Believe that Iran heard the messages in President Bush's speech. Then, there is the naval build up in the region that has been going on for months with little to no press coverage. The USS Enterprise is in the Mediterranean or nearby region. This may be a prediction, but from what I know of recent history and the Navy's Flagship, it is usually kept secret as to where it is deployed other than  being a part of the Pacific Fleet. The Enterprise shows up when the U.S. wants to send a clear message to an adversary. For example, when tensions rose between China and Taiwan during the Clinton Administration, what war ship was sent to the region? Yes, the USS Enterprise.

I support our troops in Iraq but really feel that Iran should have been our next target after Afghanistan. It will be a more dangerous and deadly confrontation and it is inevitable. I just wish that we were not closer to confronting Iran with our troops bogged down in Iraq and stretched thin all over the world.

Syria is of no real consequence in a confrontation. I can't help but recall a passage in the Bible's Book of Ezekiel where he predicts the burning and destruction of of Damascus, Syria. Who can deny that this wouldn't be an outcome in a conflagration with Iran? The question is how it would burn? Would it be conventional weapons or nuclear weapons? I will concede that the prospect of nuclear weapons being used in  a limited exchange is most frightening. Also chilling, in a war with Iran, the U.S. may be forced to use tactical nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, the homeland will undoubtedly be facing terror attacks on several fronts from Iranian Sleeper Cells already believed in place within the U.S.

Seems as if the antiwar sentiment is growing as demonstrated by the horrifying Congressional and Senate races. I don't understand why so many people would like to see us walk away from Iraq and be jeered by the terrorists as weak without the stomach to fight. Looks like a repeat of the Vietnam War. It seems that so many are forgetting that our soldiers believe in their mission in Iraq and want to win.

The Democrats and their supporters obviously don't care. They want to return to isolationism. Guess what? The terrorists aren't going to leave us alone because they hate everything this country stands for, They want us wiped from the face of the earth with Israel.

Another factor to consider. Do we want the terrorists to set Iraq up as a haven with control to a substantial part of the world's oil? Now I am sure that Nancy Pelosi and her comrades love driving their cars. Imagine the scenario for a moment. Looking at the world through rose colored glasses can get you killed in today's world. It can get thousands killed as we have already witnessed on 9/11.

America needs to wake up and see the world for what it is. President Bush made many mistakes with this war in Iraq, but I defy anyone to say that his view of this post 9/11 world isn't dead on.  I think that very few people realize that it is a matter of when the U.S. is attacked again and not if?  President Bush sees that what could befall our nation in the future will make September 11, 2001, look absolutely delightful in comparison. This time we may lose a city.

I will agree with Nancy Pelosi, when she stated that she won't give the president a blank check. He has made some serious mistakes. I have stated previously that he made it hard to get behind his global policy when our borders are less than secure, but that is for another time. We need checks and balances as the Constitution provided for. With that, I am sure there is not much more I will concur on with the best representative of liberalism this country has seen in a long time, Ms. Pelosi.

Is The GOP Ready For The Black Republican?

It is quite disturbing that eight black Republicans ran for office duringt he mid-term elections, yet, every one of them lost their races. On the other side, thirty-eight black Democrats won seats out of the forty-one up for grabs. What does this say to the black Republicans, like myself?

Could it be that these black Republican candidates were running for office in states that have strong democratic backing? It is pretty hard to tell with this election, consdiering the fact so many conservatives decided to vote democratic, to send a message to President Bush. The Republicans lost races in traditional conservative strongholds.

It is clear to me that it is very hard for the black Republican to make inroads with the majority of the black electorate because of traditional voting patterns and mistrust of the GOP that has festered for decades. Why is this the case? Is it that the old relic of racial intolerance in the GOP or is it the throughout the electorate? It has pleased me how the leading Republicans and President Bush, himself, has reached out to blacks to consider joining the GOP. They acknowledged the racial divide. I have to give them credit in stating that they would like to earn the black vote, juxtapose, the democratic party which takes the back vote for granted. The truth of the matter is that the Democrats get caught up in their complacency because time and time again, blacks send them a message that their isn't any gravitation toward another choice.

Evidence concludes that the largest barrier to black Republicans being elected to office, is their own party, the GOP. The endless racially insulting gaffes and racially loaded campaign ads by Republican politicians. The powers that be in the GOP fail miserably to condemn these practices. This gets nothing but rage from within the black community. President Bush snubbed the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP for five years. Then there is the fight amongst Republicans over the renewal of the Voting Rights Act. These actions don't ease the suspicions that many blacks have about the party.

Let's face it, racism is alive and well in America. Their have been studies done at both Harvard and Yale by political analysts. They found that many white Republicans would rather vote for a white Democrat than a black Republican. On the flip side, whites are almost as less likely to vote for a black Democrat.
Blacks tend to vote for Democrats because they blieve that the party is more likely to take on fights on civil rights and such. Historically this has been the case.

These findings are not comforting to someone like me. I will say that I learned a lot about racist issues as I matured. I don't run down the street scraming racism because someone refused to speak to me. I have encounterd blacks whom have mentioned someone disliked them becuase they were black. My response was to ask them if it ever occurred to them that, if it were true and they were disliked, could it be their personality, or the way they related to the person? There are bad apples in every group including within the black community. I have witnessed several incidences of reversed racism. Unfortunately, I get flack from blacks for being a Republican. I am referred to as a trader and an "uncle tom." I educate those who will allow it and the rest I chalk up to sheer ignorance and inflexibility.

For me, it has come down to my own personal beliefs steming from my Chritian faith. A belief that blacks have been served to their detriment by larger government that promotes the culture of victimization with little empowerment. So the truth of this, is that choosing to be a black Republican, puts me between a "rock and a hard place."  Blacks are not welcomed with open arms in the GOP and they have no support withing the black community.

Everyone wants to belong. I have to say, that I have been pleased with the responses I have received from local Republicans in Ohio. I worked on the campaign of Ken Blackwell and Mike Dewine. The people treated me like a guest of honor. So there is hope that the GOP will get the message down the line. The black vote can be a treasure trove for the Republicans, if they continue to reach out and put the focus on the damage Democrats have caused to the commmunity. Of note here are, the public school systems, of which they have had a strangle hold on for a very long time.

An Angry Black Republican

The conservative talk show hosts can put on all the brave fronts they want to.You can't convince me that true republicans aren't disgusted with the results of this mid-term election. I don't know if I can stand listening to Nancy Pelosi's voice for the next six years. How in the world did all of this happen? What on earth is the Bush Administration doing with Secretary Rumsfield?

Nancy Pelosi had some nasty things to say about President Bush during the election campaign an she should be ashamed of herself for not showing more restraint. President Bush was much more restrained when asked questions about democrats. Pelosi behaved like a kindergartener and I pray that she acts like an adult for the next six years.

The Bush administration seems to have made a miscalculation by not letting Secretary Rumsfield go before the election. I am almost certain this would have changed many of the outcomes of close races. President Bush didn't see this landslide coming. I'll gamble that he may have prepared for losing the House of Representatives but not the Senate.

The most infuriating thing is that the democrats didn't even have a platform to run on. They kept yelling change but no idea what that change is going to be, other than most likely trying to block everything President Bush proposes or perhaps undue some good things he has done with tax cuts and such. The only thing conservatives have to be grateful for, is that the majority is so thin in Congress that in the worst case scenario, we all get stuck in gridlock and nothing gets done. This will backfire on the democrats because I believe that they haven't thought much about keeping power after getting there. They had no original ideas coming in so what will change? Another positive fact is that several of the democrats elected lean closer to the right than to the left.

The American electorate is baffling, though, it is a historical cycle in a president's second term for shift in power within Congress. This time is unique because we have a good economy, the gas prices have come down, and there was some movement on immigration. But then there is the war in Iraq. Was this the single reason for the democratic victory? Was it in the minds of Americans to achieve a "check and balance" on presedential power? It is an odd situation because so many other issues were voted on such as on gay marriage bans. These passed all over the country  with the exception of Arizona. There was a social conservative movement across the country.

The thing I suspect about this election is that so many people went out and voted out of emotion instead of taking the time to think first about long term consequences. I am almost certain that there weren't many people who considered the fact that President Bush may have at least one more Supreme Court appointment to make. It wasn't an issue that was promoted during the campaign, to the conservatives detriment.

With anger and disppointment aside, I guess it is time to take it like a man. I have to say that this election really hurt for me, especially since it was the first election being a black republican and getting solidly behind the GOP. I hadn't felt so excited or alive about an election in all my life. Early on the evening of Election Day, I got a sinking feeling in my stomach that things were not going to go well. Two things entered my mind by the midnight hour. First, "Should I go to Walgreens to get some medicine for an upset stomach?" and " How do I get hold of some prozac?"

Tribute To Our Soldiers

Every American should read the recent article in the New York Times depicted with a photograph of a hand covered in blood holding a bullet. This story should make many Americans feel ashamed for creating such divisiveness in the nation.

Whether it is John Kerry spewing his words from his mouth that takes the veil off of his true nature and that of many leftist liberals, or the average "Joe", speaking against the Iraq War and President Bush, should be absolutely shut up or leave the country.

It rings true that "the emptiest barrels make the most noise." When one reads about what our men and women are enduring in Iraq and Afghanistan, unless he is a complete moron with heart of stone, he would have to be overcome with emotion. Personally, it gravitates me to my kness to pray for these soldiers and their families.

Imagine a soldier living his daily life at war. He goes through his day hoping and praying that it won't be his last day of life on this earth. He hopes that he won't feel a sniper's bullet, the size of a human finger, slice through a part of his body. What does he feel when he hears or reads news from back home in the States? He hears all of the bickering and the snide comments coming out of the Democratic Party. He hears that it is a waste of time and effort doing what it is he does in the war. So many want him and his fellow soldiers to abruptly leave the battlefront and not complete the mission he believes in. He sees all the death of his fellow comrades-in-arms as dying for nothing. This soldier hear about how his entire military organization is being pegged as rotten because of a few bad apples in the bunch. The soldier thinks that it is all so ironic because he is not fighting for the Republican or Democratic Parties. He is fighting for the American citizens and the American way of life. The blood being spilled in the ultimate sacrifice is red. It is red whether Democrat or Republican.

The bravery and courage of these brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, uncles, aunts, and in-laws, surpasses anything that anyone person can phanthom. How does one dare speak ill of these soldiers? "I support the troops but not the war," is the most used statement today by so many. This is the most asinine statement being made out here. Those that use it should know that it doesn't wash. You either support the troops or you don't, it is that simple. To say otherwise is absolute garbage!

What these divisionists fail to see is that when he speakes against the war and the soldiers, the terrorists hear this. They read the papers and they hear the news from CNN International and Al Jazeera. They exploit this and do everything to influence America's electionsand her resolve. They know who the retreatists are. They know that if they step up the violence, it will send the Democrats into a frenzy with wanting to run away from the fight. It is our soldiers that suffer because of this in the fall out.

As Americans, we have it too good in this country. We are self-centered people that want to live out lives with ease and in comfort. We want to sleep in security. We want to be entertained in our stadiums, movie houses, and eat in restaurants in safety and security. We want to swipe our credit and debit cards at the shopping malls in security. We want to shop at the supermarkets for food, of which we are blessed with in abundance and throw away tons of it per year. We want to do this in security. Do we want to worry about being blown up or shot up while we carry on every day? What group of people can we suppose allows for this safety and security?

Folks, let us get off our cell phones, pull away from our blackberries. Let's take pause from the television, the video games. Let's take our eyes off of our bank statements, annual reports, dividend reports, and the bottom lines. Open a history book and recall or learn what is has cost so many for us to do whatever it is we do every day.

The U.S. faces an evil force that is bent on destroying all we take for granted. If we could only get the atmosphere of cooperation and support back that was present in the country after 9/11. It is ironic that so many don't realize or acknowledge that we haven't had another 9/11 or something worse. This is due to President Bush and the troops relentlessness to take the fight to the terrorists and keep them at bay away from the Homeland. The biggest tragedy is the loss of the "united" in United States.

Whatever the viewpoint, we as a people, could never repay the men and women in the Armed Forces for what they have done today and all off the yesterdays past. These efforts have prevented the U.S. Homeland from becoming an Iraq or an Afghanistan. A frightful scenario during which ordinary citizens would have to take up arms to defend everything they hold dear. How sad that it may take something devastating like this for unity to return among us.

We are a nation of citizens producing extraordinary men and women that are selfless and giving individuals. During a time which The United States faces the most perilous time of its existence, these people leave family, friends, children, and jobs to keep "Ole Glory" flying, representing ideals that are envied all over the world. In the face of this, our opinions are negligible. Can we love and honor the soldiers? All these men and women ask of us, is for our unconditional support and for our patience to let them accomplish the goals for which they believe in.

God bless every man and woman in the United States Armed Forces. Bless those families with loved ones lost and those awaiting a loved ones safe return. Bless President W. Bush and his Cabinet. May God continue to bless the U.S.A.

URGENT: Support The Republican Candidates

I listen to the way the liberal media such as the "big three " networks, doing everything but calling the elections won for the Democrats with all of their polls. It all makes me sick and makes it certain that I will no longer be listening.

I was a behavioral science major in college. Anyone in this area of study realizes that polls are very unreliable. I don't care what the margin of error is, there are just more factors than can be accounted for between campaigning periods and the actual election day. With that said, I ususally just shun the polls and look toward the concrete and final numbers on election day.

With all of the hype about dead heat races, the recent scandals, and the Iraq War all but paving the way for the Dems to take control of Congress, I have had to pause. I have pondered exactly what is at stake in the country, specifically, in my home State of Ohio.

So much seems to connect to other articles I have completed here at Town Hall. I think my big concerns for this election relates to valuing life and the African-American vote.("I Am A Black Republican," and "Culture of Death:America's War On Babies").

It is striking how different some of the candidates are that are running for election this time around. In a way, this makes it easier to decide which person to vote for. For example, here in Ohio, there is Ken Blackwell (R) and Sherrod Brown (D) running for the governor's race.

Ken Blackwell stands for life and his voting record is along those lines. He is against abortion and the barbaric partial-birth abortion. Mr. Blackwell doesn't support tax dollars being used for abortion and agencies like Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood has received almost one billion dollars in the last several years to support their mission of infanticide. Mr. Blackwell is an African-American. He believes in the American Dream and that blacks can thrive in this society despite built in societal obstacles, by educating themselves and having a good work ethic. Mr. Blackwell is a man who sees more in himself and his people. He believes that blacks are not people in need of liberal pity. We don't need big government to treat us like infants that need to be coddled. He sees as I do, that Democrats take advantage of the black indoctrination that Democrats equal good and Republicans equal bad. Mr. Blackwell knows what blacks need and that is empowerment.

Sherrod Brown (D) supports the mass murder of society's babies. He supports abortion and partial-birth abortion. He believes in our tax dollars being used to fund the likes of Planned Parenthood and the ACLU. Mr. Brown is an arrogant individual that treats others with opposing views as irrelevant and out of step with the mainstream. He is determined to oppose more freedom of choice for parents to decide where they want their children to go to school. Mr. Brown doesn't speak out aginst the activism taking place from the bench in more and more courtrooms across America. He doesn't assert that the judges are to interpret the law, not make it according to thier own beliefs and prejudices.

I am afraid for my State of Ohio. If I pay attention to all of the polls, Sherrod Brown will win this race. This is horrific because if Ohio goes to the Democrats, it is a gross foreshadowing of what may be coming for the 2008 presidential race.

Republicans must not take their right to vote lightly. There are more grave issues facing the United states than ever before. The people can't allow the Democratic Party to steer the nation through the murky crisis confronting us today. These important issues include, the energy issue and using viable means to make us less dependent on these depot regimes and their oil. There is the emerging nuclear threats of Iran and North Korea, the threats to our ally Israel. We have to be alert and boldly engage the growing power of China and the trade deficit of the U.S. Most urgently, there are our mortal enemies of Radical Islam.

The issues the nation is confronted with are part of our collective reality. How can a party such as the Democrats, bring solutions to the table, when they operate outside of reality? They do not even concede that the United States is in the most perilous times of its history. Our very existence and what we stand for is threatened. The best response Democrats have is that, a culture of fear is being promoted by the right. Where were they on 9/11? Where were they during the first attack on the World Trade Center? Were they on the USS Cole when an explosion tore through its hull?

My hopes for this country I love, is that the citizenry never take for granted the right to vote. I say this especially to my black brothers and sisters. So many people, black and whites alike, were beaten and killed fighting for these rights we have today. We ususally never give these rights a second thought. I hope that blacks will stop and listen to the political parties. Listen to your hearts and minds to determine who deserves votes for office.

My most urgent plea is that blacks not disrespect and debunk black messengers like myself and Ken Blackwell, who has dared to realize that there are other options, better options politically. We have not drcided to betray our race but decided to use our own minds to decide and look at recent history. I have decided to look at the impact that the Democratic Party has had on blacks as a people. I am telling the people to do the work and come to your own conclusions. Make the Democrats accountable. Make them earn the black vote, not take it for granted.

The Culture of Death: America's War on Babies

The controversial debate around abortion in this country will never go away. People will always be on one side or the other. I make no pretense that I am a pro-life advocate because I feel that pro-creation is the most wonderous and miraculous gift a man and a woman has in this life. It is unimaginable that such debate rages over when a fertilized egg is life and that people would choose to use abortion as the chief method of contraception.

According to the Alan Guttmacher Institutute (AGI), Planned Parentood, abortion is one of the most common surgical procedures in the U.S. today. The most appalling is the partial-birth abortion method. During this procedure, the baby is murdered in the birth canal. The doctor turns the baby into a breeched position so that the feet pass through the birth canal first and is actually outside of the body. The skull, while in the canal is gripped with a surgical tool and then pierced while a suction device is used to destroy the inside of the brain. The pain that the baby must endure is unbelievable!

The statistics as of 2004, states that there were 1.37 million abortions in the U.S. and that is 3,700 per day. Now if Americans do not see this as a crisis, then there is something really lacking in our culture today. The lacking of personal responsibility tops the list. Why must we resort to such a cruel way of dealing with an unwanted pregnacy? There seems to be a proliferation of drug stores in American cities today, so contraception is within reach for men and women. Doctors are giving it away for free in many cases. There are social services agencies such as Planned Parenthood. Let's be real, it couldn't be easier for the male with the use of a condom. That's right, the abortion issue isn't just about women, it is the men too, that needs to be responsible.

The debate goes on about circumstances that abortion should be appropriate such as in the cases of rape and incest or if the woman's health is in jeopardy. What do you think the statistics say about this? The AGI says that 95% of abortions is the primary method of contraception; 3% of the abortions occurred because of the woman's health risks; 1% because of fetal abnormalities; and 1% due to rape or incest.

The arguement of when life actually begins goes on and on. There will never be a resolution to this because there will be different viewpoints, even within the medical community. I think you know where I stand on the subject. When that embryo attaches it self to the woman's uteran wall, life has begun. Any other arguements to the contrary, I chalk up to people trying to soothe their own consciences for choosing abortion. If we are grown up enough to enjoy the pleasures of sex, then we should be responsible enough to deal with the connsequences. I could think of worse things than giving life to a being that will be a part of oneself. The baby will grow within the mother and this is something that even the father will never truly know the closeness of. This fact makes the whole matter of abortion even more incredulous.

Our society should realize that there will be consequences for participating in a culture of infanticide. My God, there are so many people that want newborn babies to raise and yet, they are told that there is a shortage of them here in America and they have to go overseas as Madonna has recently done. People, please, give the children up for adoption. Don't take the easy way out for yourself and throw the human life away.

The Supreme Court has chosen to hear three different cases challenging the Partial-Birth Abotion Ban of 2003, which President Bush signed into law. The challengers mainly headed up by "Satan's Mignions" at the ACLU. They are stating that the ban is unconstitutional. It is encouraging that the Court is deciding to hear these cases. I am pleased to be an advocate with the Amercan Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ). This group is growing in membership and becoming a counter weight to the ACLU. The ACLU is anything but shy in stating that they support abortion in any form and want to do anything possible to take any remnant of God out of our society.

Thank God for President Bush's recent appointments of Justice Edwards and Justice Alito to the Supreme Court. With their pro-life records, the infants that can't speak or plead on their own behalf may have hope. It is ironic to me, that with the state of our world and the dangers we face, the safest place for a baby should be the woman's womb, yet even there, they are targets.

The doctors that perform these abortions, especially the partial-birth procedures, should be jailed and barred from practicing medicine. After all, they have violated their Hippocratic Oath of "Do No Harm." They take on the role of God. I often wonder how it is that they sleep at night? I welcome any arguements to this stance. What kind of healing is the physician performing in these cases?

I pray and hope that all of those in our nation that value life will take part in voicing their outrage at the culture of infanticide that is flourishing in society today. Let's rally behind pro-life groups everywhere in pushing for the Supreme Court's Partial-Birth Abortion Ban being held as constitutional and legal. Then the push onward toward the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

The Korean War, Part 2

It is a miracle that the United Nations Security Counsel actually got something done toward an aggressor nation. Most of the time, the U.N. is very ineffective, especially when it is the U.S. attempting to get a resolution passed. Unortunately, once again, Russia and China has stopped the tough sanctions that should have been passed from going through. Again, for their own self-serving agendas. This is why nothing gets done where Iran is concerned. As a result of all of this, the Korean War is destined to restart.

North Korea is bent on defying the rest of the world. There are two viable options. War or punishing them with severe enough sanctions, that the government collapses. Enter China's primary reason for not wanting to push North Korea too hard. China doesn't want the refugees and the rest of the fall-out which, comes with a collapsed nation. North Korea wants to isolate itself from the rest of the world. They should be isolated in every sense of the word. Strangle the governement and wait for its death. Why shouldn't it die? So many other citizens have been murdered by the "nut" in power there. North Korea has to be the most oppressive nation on the planet, making being under a system of communism, almost a delightful experience.

The solution to China is to allow Japan to build nuclear weapons to protect themselves from the North Korean threat. Japan is more than able to do so and may be forced to ignore their pacifist constitution to make it happen. Who could fault them for doing so when they are right in the line of fire with North Korea? China would become alarmed immediately and it would start to better to them to deal with the refugee issue of a failed regime, than having their old rival going nuclear so close to their borders. The Russians would also follow suit because Japan would be a force to be reckoned with and have a formidable nuclear deterrent.

The world would be a lot safer if the nations did everything possible to destroy Kim Jun Il's regime through the toughest sanctions available. The second option puts the world on the brink of nuclear disaster as during the Cuban Missle Crisis.

The war option to take out North Korea's government is far more dangerous and could have consequences on a global scale. This scenario is ripe for escalation events to occur, that could trigger a wider war that goes nuclear. There would be no safe guards against keeping the nukes to the Asian theater.

If it comes to war, it would be the U.S. leading the charge with primarily the use of the Airforce and the Navy. The U.S. could bomb North Korea back into the stone age but it wouldn't win the war. There would need to be a ground operation joining the South Koreans and this would be the bloodiest war since the Vietnam conflict. The losses could be incredible because if nuclear weapons are used the thought of how many soldiers could be lost with a single blow is nightmarish to say the least.

The U.S. still has the might to show the world that it is capable of fighting a multiple front war. This would be historical as the U.S. have never simultaneously fought a war on three fronts. The major problem, is that most of the Army branch of the military is tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan. The U.S would have to conside using tactical nuclear weapons. If this turns out not to be an option, Japan would have to directly mobilize and enter the war.

With Russia and China sitting on the side lines watching the war unfold, would the U.S. have to worry about how much force it was using to prevent escalation of the war as in Vietnam? We would indeed. I find it very hard to believe that with the use of tactical nuclear weapons in such close proximity to Russia and China, would not draw them into the war which could erupt into a full fledged nuclear conflict. This could be the case even if North Korea was the first to use the bomb. The war would turn into the U.S./Japan/South Korea vs. China/Russia. Three nations armed with nuclear weapons on opposite sides could spell the end of much of civilization

It would be hard to predict how the other major nations would react such as those in the European Union, which belong to NATO. If the U.S. should come under nuclear attack, the NATO charter states that Europe should intervene on our behalf. These nations are armed with nuclear weapons as well.

There is no doubt that the U.S. could prevail in a war against North Korea. I don't know if all of the uncertainties of the other players involved makes it safe for the rest of the world. I hope that the next major player in this game will be Japan. What Japan decides to do next in regard to their security concerns with North Korea could make all the difference in pushing China into unison with the rest of the world, avoiding war.

Foley Doesn't Change What Conservatism Stands For

I think that I have heard about as much as I can stand about the Mark Foley situation. The Democrats have found themselves a bone to run with, right through the elections. They can take a sigh of relief because now, they have the smokescreen to keep from addressing the real issues facing America. I can see them dancing in the halls of the Capitol.

I must first state that Nancy Pelosi is the biggest hypocrite on Capitol Hill. It is absolutely incredulous how she was spouting her trash about caring for the children. If it wasn’t so laughable and one didn’t know better about her track record, it would almost be credible.

Pelosi, if I am not mistaken, threw all her support behind another gentlemen in congress some time ago, that did more than send inappropriate emails to a teenager. He in fact had a sexual relationship with the teen and went on to be promoted and supported by not only Pelosi, but others in the party. Some people need to look more closely at the person staring back at them in their mirrors daily.

While the Democrats are caring so much for the welfare of the children in our nation, why is it that the public school districts are in such deplorable condition? After all, the Democrats have so much control and influence over these inner city areas.

I feel that I must rebuke some of my fellow Republicans in the country as well. Some are talking about punishing the party because of Foley’s antics and voting for the Democrats, to teach them a lesson. I say that this is unbelievably irresponsible and childish. Not only would the person be mistreating his sacred vote, he would be neglecting the belief systems associated with being a conservative.

What the Republican Party stands for has to be the center of how we cast our votes. It goes to the core of who we are as people and the things that we stand for which brought us to the Party. As human beings, we are all fallible, but the entire conservative movement should not pay the price.

Let’s take a look at what’s at stake in the United States and determine if the Democrats should be in charge. What does the Democratic Party stand for? We have a couple of Supreme Court positions that may be ahead for the President to fill. Democrats would support the far left agenda. This agenda supports amnesty for illegal aliens, to cross our borders, steal American jobs, and enjoy the benefits of citizenry without having to assimilate our culture and values. The left agenda supports continuing to murder unborn children no matter what stage of development the child is, right up to the point of passing through the birth canal. The left wants to “cut and run” from our enemies and play the appeasement game as Nancy Pelosi confirmed in a recent speech. They would change the makeup of the family as we all know It, by allowing marriage to be redefined to fit whatever feels good and suits the individual. Most urgent, in my opinion, is that the left would support and give free reign to “Satan’s Crafty Minions” over at the ACLU. If the ACLU has it way, there will be no hint of God in our nation. The Judeo-Christian values our nation was founded upon would disappear forever.

Bill O’Reilly’s book “Culture Warrior.” is a must read for every conservative. He states the struggle we are in better than I could ever hope to. It puts the fear of God into one’s soul to see how the liberal agenda, or as the liberals now like to refer to themselves as “progressives,” is seeking to destroy the very fabric of what we hold dear.

I don’t know if I am angrier or have more pity toward Mark Foley for what he has done. He has put the conservative movement at risk, along with anyone else that may prove to have covered up his improprieties.  I am sure that he doesn’t need any more condemnation from me. If you can imagine for just one minute what it must be like to be in his shoes right now. He is a disgraced politician that may be facing criminal charges. He may be the sole cause of the Republicans losing the majority in congress. Then there is his personal life, with loved ones, associates, etc. Sometimes, the personal fall out from one’s actions is the worse punishment that can be exacted on the person. So, I think it is c he should seek help. First, by taking off the blinders and seeing that his professed alcohol problem is a separate issue from what truly plagues him. It makes it easy for his other demons to come forth. Mr. Foley has my prayers not my approval. We would all do well to remember that we don’t have to love the sin but love the sinner after, all that is what we all are in one way or another.

I pray that the urgency of this message gets through to the conservative base and they get out there in November to protect our nation at the polls. If I have to listen to Nancy Pelosi at the podium as House Leader, I may have to leave the country until the travesty passes.

I Am A Black Republican

No longer will the Democratic Party take my vote for granted. I plan to spread the word to as many African-Americans I can.  Yes, I am a Black Republican. I have seen the error of my ways.

The problem with the black community, is that we vote blindly for democrats. I have because of family traditions, going back all the way to the civil rights movement under the false perception, that democrats are for blacks and republicans are not. It was not until I decided to open my eyes and examine what it was that I stood for. What were my values? After this, the question was, what party reflected my values most?

I voted for George W. Bush during his run for reelection, primarily, because he had christian values and opposed abortion. However, I was still uncomfortable with voting republican after so many years of traditional loyalty. I went on to learn more about conservatism and the fact that it stands for personal responsibility, not relying on government to take care of the ills of the world, nor the problems of the individual. Government should play a smaller role in Americans' lives. Many conservatives tend to have christian values and do not believe in changing traditions on which this country was founded. For example, the definition of marriage being between a man and a woman. Democrats would make alterations to that to please their voting base, which contains the gay and lesbian population.

Democrats have had reign over our school systems across the country over time and they have done nothing but put them into a state of poverty with low standards for learning. Many inner city school systems are made up of heavy African- American populations. Do they deserve our votes for this?

Democrats traditionally support inner-city programs for the poor that gives out food and clothing. Where are the programs and the teachers that will promote self-sufficiency?
Going all the way back to slavery, blacks survived and made progress with civil rights because of its deep rooted beliefs in christianity. We believe that God is needed in our society but what are the liberals doing at every opportunity? They vote to rid our society of any trace of God. What party do you suppose groups like the destructive ACLU votes for?

Unfortunately, many blacks give into supporting constant reversed discrimination, hatred and intolerance that our so called "black leaders" teach, such as,the Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Instead of blacks being upset with the recent message that Bill Cosby has preached, they should see that the "Sharptons" and Jacksons" of today are nothing but old post civil rights movement relics. They are keeping the peoples heads in the wrong direction, filled with bitterness, hatred, and blame. Instead, they should be telling blacks that we have to take responsibility for our survival and realize our own short comings. This is what Bill Cosby courageously stood up and told audiences recently.

Yes, we still live in an imperfect society. Yes, racism still exists, but it can't be the "boogey man" that we use for every failure or missed opportunities that we experience in our lives. Blacks have to remember what Christ stood for. Would He agree with the indoctrination that the black leaders of today are taking part in?

I will continue to vote for the GOP because the very fabric of our society is at risk. I can not in good conscience vote for a party that is anti-American and antichristian. We have to stand up and take responsibility for ourselves, our actions, and make contributions to our nation. We cannot behave in a manner that the USA owes us.

The New Culture of Tip Toeing Around Muslims

I don't know about anyone else in America, but I for one have had it with these demons in the muslim world. Where is the chaos going to end I wonder?

It is their so called sacred holiday of Ramadan and what is their response? Let's blow ourselves and others up and turn it in a day of rage and jihad. If there was ever people with a one-track mind these pyschos are them.

I refuse to be like so many others in the world that are adapting a new culture of walking on egg shells around muslims. I am enraged by the whole concept. I have my faith as they do, and that is in Jesus Christ. I'll be damned if I will go around being afraid to voice that I want no part of a faith that promotes blowing people up, if they disagree with its viewpoints.

The United States is founded on Judeo-Christian values and it is high time that we not be afraid to voice that, it is not good to kill innocent people because they don't believe in Muhammad's message, nor his methods of killing people that refuse Islam.
I find that I have to struggle with my inner thoughts and feelings so that I don't become filled with the hatred that muslims spread toward our way of life. This has to be accomplished with faith and a belief in what Jesus Christ stood for. People were free to walk away from what He was teaching and they did. They didn't have to worry about having their head sawed of and waved in the air with victory.

Chrisitanity certainly has it's dark past of death and destruction but the issue is, where is Christianity going now? What direction is the faith going? Islam is going backward in time, not forward, and not for the good.  It seems to me that these jihadists don't believe much in anything but behaving like demonic possessed people that love carnage and death.

How does muslims respond to the fact that these fanatics, within their own faith, have gone far beyond killing the so called infidels? They are killing their own people in Iraq. Maybe I am confused but I thought there was an unbreakable brotherhood amongst muslims.

As unreal as it seems, we are in a struggle for modern civilization. The Democrats and Liberals refuse to acknowledge what we face and continue to attack George W. Bush's policies. They however, never offer any constructive methods to address the situation. I don't know which group makes me more ill, these narcissistic muslims or the Democrats and their constant whining.

Some of us have to come face to face with reality to get the point sometimes. I bet any Liberal that happens to get captured, as others have by the jihadists, and are fortunate to make it out alive with their head attached, they will no longer insist on this ridiculous notion of "let's leave them alone and they will leave us alone." But, I digress, this current situation is not going away anytime soon, so Americans need to take a stand.

Let us spend time praying for our nation and even the muslims who claim to be good people. I believe that they are the key to halting this extremism in their midst, by rising up and telling these nut jobs, that they will no longer stand for the corruption of their faith. As of yet, the muslims are not doing that. I suspect that many won't because they believe, in their hearts, what Muhammad stood for and that was and is killing anyone that refuses to cozy up to Islam.

In the end, I would like to see that with all that I see wrong in this world and in the muslim faith, I responded with prayer to my God and believing, that is the most powerful thing I can do as a christian.

A Personal Recollection of September 11, 2001

On September 11, 2001, it was a beautiful and bright day in Cleveland, Ohio. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and this kind of day usually put me in a upbeat mood, but this day, I had this awful feeling that something was looming. I couldn't figure it out or shake the feeling. It was 7:00 am.

I usually go to the metro park to spend time in prayer and Bible study, near the Cleveland suburb of Parma. I remember praying before I even got there because I was feeling almost afraid. I didn't know if I thought something was going to happen to me or a loved one.
I was driving down Ridge Rd. listening to morning radio talk shows and on some of these, there is a lot of humor and sarcasm. The person on the radio around 8:55 am came on and stated that a plane or something had hit one of the towers of the World Trade Center. He had said this in a tone that didn't strike me as urgent but almost amazingly in a matter-of-fact manner. I was appalled, thinking, where do thess people draw the lines in their attempts to be funny or amusing? I didn't realize this was truly happening. I turned the radio off.

Around 9:10 am , I turned the radio back on, a mile from my destination. On another radio station, the announcement came that another plane has hit the other World Trade Center Tower. I stopped and noticed that everyone in the surrounding automobiles were on cell phones, I mean everyone.

I thought about how I had taken my mother a couple of months ago to New York and we went to the top of one of the Towers. It was her first time and my second time. I skipped the park and went to a nearby friends and marched to the television where he my buddy was already tuned into CNN. He said America is under attack!

I can never fully describe the emotions and disbelief I felt as everything unfolded, the  Pentagon was hit, no time to take in earlier events. I was dizzy and developed a horrible headache. It suddently hit me, my God was this what I felt coming this morning? I went on to pray telling God that I knew there were a lot of terrified people out there, some probably already dead and these people needed Him today more than they ever have. America needed Him more than it ever has. Don't abandon us in our time of need, I thought. My faith with feelings of helplessness set in as my friend and I wondered how much more was to come.

Later, I called my mother to tell her how much I loved her and she was in shock unable to grasp, that her and I were atop one of those towers that were, by that time, no more but collapsed tons of rubble. Tears came to my eyes as I told her, Mom, if we were there today, at least we would have been together right up to the end.

Today, I called a friend of mine that I have known since high school. She is a guidance counselor now but was a teacher of mine in eleventh grade and we have ben friends ever since. I remembered talking with her  on 9/11, she was concerned for her son who was attending college in New York and lived not far from the World Trade Center. She heard from her son later and he was fine. I just wanted to thank her for what has amounted to almost a life time of support.

Today, I went to a local fire house and shook the same hands of the fire fighters I shook the week of  9/11/01. This is an annual event now. I thank them for what they do and that I will never forget.

  God Bless America!

9/11 Tribute: A Man Chasing A Dream

This is the fifth anniversary of the tragic day, September 11, 2001, on which Islamic fanatics sought to strike a blow to the American way of life. Three thousand lives were cut short by that strike. Fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives. Some died while others were left to mourn. On this anniversary, I would like to honor and remember a single victim, IOURI  A. MOUCHINSKI .

Iouri Mouchinski was 55 years old. He was chasing a dream of starting his own engineering business, living to be 100, and a country home where he could keep bees and care for his grandchildren. He was a successful civil engineer in the Ukraine but left this position in 1994 to come to America and start an engineering business. At the time, he had four employees on board. He was dedicated to the success of the business by working daily and on weekends.

According to Mr. Mouchinski's daughter Iryna Ushakova, he had the good health and vigor of a 30-year-old. He was a student of Eastern philosophy and believed in the unity of the soul, body , and the world around him. Mrs. Ushakova stated that her father often fasted to cleanse himself.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, Mr. Mouchinski was at the World Trade Center, not to because he worked there, but because he was picking up a check from someone he had done work for through his business.
Mr. Mouchinkski is survived by his daughter Iryna, his grandchildren , and his wife, Natalia Muchinska. She called her husband, "my precious." She stated in a stanza of a poem she wrote to him:

I want to continue
Our life
And keep you always
In my consciousness!

In memorium, I salute Iouri A. Mouchinski, this week of September 11, 2006. The sadness and the shock of that day is as fresh for me now as it was five years ago. The disbelief that that such evil can exist in men. Evil that took an unsuspecting man from his life and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mouchinski's family. May God bless them and our great nation where so many come to pursue dreams.

The U.S.A., Love It Or Leave It

I am always amazed at the calls that come through during talk radio shows that I listen to. One of my favorites, The Michael Medved Show.

Mr. Medved recently did a show on the cosnspiracy theories floating around about 9/11. It is absolutely incredulous how many American citizens called in stating that they believed that the American Government was responsible for the collapse of the Twin Towers in New York City. Some suggested that the government knew the attacks were coming and allowed them to happen. You would naturallly ask yourself why this would be? The caller responses seemed convinced, this was George W. Bush's excuse to go to war in Iraq.

I feel compelled to express my outrage with these uninformed individuals. How could anyone live in such a country that has a government which is capable of plotting to massacre thousands of its citizens? In my view, it is treason to have such a low regard for a place you call home. Worse yet, speaking out in such a manner during a time of war.
It is probably true in some cases that some of these "enemies of the state," have not had an original thought in their life. Let us just repeat what someone else said and not have anything to defend the supposition with solid facts, and not conjecture.

We enjoy freedoms, unlike anywhere else in the world and this remains so, from the spilled blood of countless individuals. Those people who believe such evil things about he governement and can show no nationalism, at least, in a time of war, I have a solution. Get out, leave, pack up, head for the border! These people are as bad as the terrorist that seek to destroy our way of life. They take too much for granted. They should be given one-way tickets to the Sudan, or Iran.  Why stay in a place and live in fear of your government?

Perhaps I shouldn't allow a rise in my blood pressure listening to these individuals. Most of us know the saying, "the empties barrells...." I love this country and as Michael Medved states on his daily broadcasts, "this is the greatest nation on God's green earth." This fact remains true, even when I don't agree with policy decisions of government, even when the candidate I would choose fails to become president. I love this country even more when so many nations announce that they don't like us, because then it is true, that we must be doing something right in the world. Regardless of our personal opinions toward Democrat or Republican, Liberal, or Conservative, we must support our nation and what it stands for. A divided house fails to stand.

It all comes down to the line Tom Cruise recited in the film "Born on the Fourth of July, " Love it or leave it!" It is as simple as that. This country has enough enemies.
